About me

Alexandra is a registered acupuncturist and Chinese herbal medicine practitioner with over 25 years of experience using the wisdom, elegance and time honoured traditions of East Asian Medicine helping women as they navigate the cycles of life, whether it be menstrual issues, preparing for a family, pregnancy, post partum, menopause or ageing. She has worked in the NHS in her capacity as a senior physiotherapist where her speciality was working alongside the Breast Care Team treating women undergoing breast cancer treatment.

She uses the principles of Yang Shen or ‘Nourishing Life’ traditions; the ancient Daoist philosophical approach to health and wellbeing which is as relevant today, if not more so, than it was in ancient times.  The belief is that if we work towards living in harmony with the rhythms and cycles of life by observing the laws of nature and cultivating self care and awareness, we can aspire to find a harmonious state of being within ourselves and our relationship with the world around us whilst also remaining true to our own uniqueness.
