Current Situation with Covid Restrictions

Currently the clinic is working as normal. Plenty of time is give to the session to sanitise prior to the next patient coming in. Only one person at a time will be allowed in the clinic room unless previously arranged.

If either the patient feels unwell, has a fever, or if someone in their household has Covid then please do cancel – even at short notice as I work with vulnerable patients. There will be no charge cancellations at short notice in this case.

Gratitude

I have been humbled this week by the messages of thanks from some of the patients I have treated over this past year.  As an acupuncturist working with fertility and pregnancy I am fortunate to work in an area which I love.  It was quite emotional for me to receive two photographs of adorable little new borns who arrived just in time for Christmas.  The first was  from a client who was 40 weeks plus one week so we tried some acupuncture just to help nudge the little one along.  She must have been ready to enter the world as Mum started with contractions that evening.  The second photograph was of a beautiful little girl whose Mum I had been treating prior to conception and throughout her pregnancy.  The messages of thanks from these, along with many others, make it all worth while.  People come and go in the clinic as they move through their journeys, so – when sometimes months later –  a message of gratitude comes through, I am humbled and full of gratitude myself for that special therapeutic relationship that we have shared, very often in the midst of stress an anxiety.

For some couples who are trying for a family and it hasn’t happened as soon as they had hoped, this can be a difficult time of the year.   My thoughts are with you all and I wish you Peace and Happiness for 2019.  Some of you I know I will meet again next year, and some of you will have moved on in your fertility journey.

I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy 2019.

In gratitude,

In Celebration of Periods

Today on International Women’s Day, I  would like to praise periods and to urge women to celebrate this right of passage.  Periods are a perfect example of how the rhythms of life manifest; the ebb and flow, the waxing and waning, the yin and yang, and the lunar and seasonal cycles.  The menstrual cycle is also an excellent diagnostic tool, as problems with the cycle can indicate that there may be a problem which needs addressing at an early stage in a young woman’s life.  Steps can be then be taken at this stage to prevent problems arising later on.
